Application and License Requirements
The Board of Psychology is responsible for licensing and regulating psychologists, provisional psychologists and limited license psychologists in Florida. Applicants seeking to be licensed as a psychologist in Florida may apply by Examination or Endorsement. All applicants are required to successfully pass the Florida Laws and Rules Examination in addition to any other requirements for the application method selected.
Continuing Education: Click here for information regarding continuing education requirements for initial licensure. It is also strongly recommended that you review all of the laws and rules regulating this profession.
Exam: The EPPP National Exam is only offered by computer-based testing (CBT). Once the Board of Psychology has approved your application, you will be directed to the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) website at http://www.asppb.net/EPPPsignup, which contains current and important information for exam candidates, as well as a link to where the application for the exam online will be completed and the required examination fee will be paid. Please note that, effective March 1, 2013, the registration fee for the EPPP is $600. Prometric will also assess a CBT administration fee. Please see the EPPP candidate bulletin for the current CBT administration fee. Once you complete the EPPP application, an authorization to test (ATT) message will be immediately generated and forwarded to you. Upon receipt of the ATT letter, you may contact the testing vendor, Prometric, to schedule the date and location of your exam within your 60-day authorization window*. Please note that the candidate bulletin is available at http://www.asppb.net/InfoForCandidates
*Approved applicants who do not schedule within the authorization window will need to contact the Board office for assistance.
