Florida Department of Health (DOH) recommends that
individuals limit consumption of freshwater fish caught in specific water
bodies where mercury concentrations in fish tissue are elevated. To limit
consumption, DOH suggests a certain number of meals over a specific time period
(e.g., twice per week, one per week, one per month) for either the general
public or a sensitive population based upon comparing concentrations of mercury
in fish tissue to eating guidelines.
Sensitive refers to women of childbearing age and young children. General
refers to all other individuals.

recommended eating guidelines (advisory), in terms of number of meals.
