Presumptive Eligibilty for Pregnant Women (PEPW)
Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women is a Medicaid eligibility subprogram that may allow an uninsured pregnant woman to receive immediate pregnancy-related outpatient services while her eligibility for Florida Medicaid is being determined.
If you are pregnant, apply for PEPW before applying for Medicaid. This will enable you to enter prenatal care immediately and receive temporary Medicaid (PEPW) until your Medicaid enrollment has been completed.
Apply for PEPW at the St. Lucie County Health Department,
Fort Pierce site,
714 Avenue C or call
(772) 462-3800 for more information.
