Group Care
While facility licensing or certification is done through other state agencies, the Health Department is authorized by Florida Statute 381.006(16) to perform sanitation and safety inspections for public and private schools as well as residential adult care, foster care, and health care facilities. Residential facility standards are under Chapter 64E-12, Florida Administrative Code; school inspection standards are Chapter 64D-13, Florida Administrative Code.
